Membership Information

The National Coalition of 100 Black Women (NCBW) is a non-profit advocacy organization dedicated to improving the lives of African American women, girls, and the community at large. NCBW has over 60 chapters in 28 states.  Our organization selects and accepts new members on an annual basis.  Membership is open to women starting at age 25 who have demonstrated evidence of community involvement and agree to support the purpose and goals of NCBW.

Becoming a Member

Women interested in becoming a member of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc., Greater Huntsville Area Chapter must complete the membership process to be considered.  

Membership Process

  • Attend a mandatory Interest Meeting and/or Meet and Greet

  • Attend one (1) NCBW-GHAC program within a membership year

  • Submit the completed application, your resume, a 5x7 color professional headshot, and an application fee of $140.

  • Complete Interview and Selection Process

  • Agree to a background check

  • Two (2) reference letters. One letter must be sponsored by a member in good standing.

Note: To be a member in good standing, you must attend 70% of all General Membership and Committee meetings, pay all membership dues and the gala fundraiser assessment fees on time. No exceptions!

Membership Application

The 2023 Membership Application process is now closed. Applications will only be provided electronically to prospective new members that attend the Meet & Greet. No exceptions!
