PROSPECTIVE MEMBERS

Membership Information

The National Coalition of 100 Black Women (NCBW) is a non-profit advocacy organization dedicated to improving the lives of African American women, girls and the community at large. NCBW has over 60 chapters in 28 states.  Our organization selects and accepts new members on an annual basis.  Membership is open to women who have demonstrated evidence of community involvement and agree to support the purpose and goals of NCBW.

Women interested in becoming a member of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc., Greater Huntsville Area Chapter must complete the membership process to be considered.  


Membership Process

  • Attend an Interest Meeting or Meet and Greet
  • Attend two (2) NCBW-GHAC programs within a membership year
  • Submit completed application, your resume, 5x7 color headshot along with a non-refundable application fee of $140
  • Complete Interview and Selection Process
  • Agree to a background check
  • Two (2) reference letters. One letter must be sponsored by a member in good standing

NOTE: To be a member in good standing, you must attend 70% of all General Membership and Committee meetings, pay all membership dues  and the gala fundraiser assessment fees on time. No exceptions!
