SINGLE PEARL SCHOLARSHIP 

NCBW-GHAC will provide a scholarship in the amount of $1,000 to a female non-traditional student, i.e., adult single mother who wants to return to school to pursue post-secondary education who meet the criteria established below:

• Must have a high school diploma or GED with a minimum of a 2.0 GPA.
• Complete an essay consisting of 250 words (typed) stating; “Your course study and financial need” (writing skills and community service will be used to determine the winner along with club adjudication).
• Must pursue a career-oriented course of study.
• Must be registered and accepted for enrollment in an accredited technical school, college or university in North Alabama.
• Must be a single parent with physical custody of at least one child 16 or younger.
• Must provide a letter of recommendation detailing your qualifications. One reference (non-relative).
• Must maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0.
• Must provide evidence that you will continue pursuing career goals.
• Must not already have an undergraduate degree.

The winners will be notified in April 2022. A check will be provided upon receipt of registration documentation from the college, university, etc., and will be made payable to the school.

NCBW-GHAC will provide scholarships in the amount of $1,000 each to three (3) deserving female high school graduates who meet the criteria established

below:

• Must meet state requirements for Huntsville City, Madison County and Madison High School graduation with a minimum of a 2.5 GPA.
• Complete an essay consisting of 300 - 400 words (typed) stating; “Why I Would Like To Be Awarded This Scholarship” (writing skills and community service will be used to determine the winner along with club adjudication).
• Must be registered and accepted for enrollment in an accredited technical school, college or university.
• Must NOT be a recipient of a FULL scholarship or grant.
• Must provide two character references.

The winners will be notified in April 2022. A check will be provided upon receipt of registration documentation from the college, university, etc. and will be made payable to the school.
